Ambassador Theatre Seating Chart

Ambassador Theatre Seating Chart

When you buy tickets for a show at the Ambassador Theatre in NYC, you’ll have the opportunity to choose which section to sit in. Each option offers a slightly different vantage point, so think about where you would like to sit before purchasing tickets for a performance.

Here are the main sections:

Orchestra

The orchestra section at the Ambassador Theatre offers some of the best views of the stage. Seats in the front rows and seats situated in the middle of the orchestra section are the ideal options for those who want to enjoy the clearest views.

Front Mezzanine

The front mezzanine section at the Ambassador Theatre provides elevated sightlines that are tough to beat. Just like with the orchestra section, the seats in the middle of the front mezzanine section provide the clearest views.

Rear Mezzanine

The rear mezzanine section at the Ambassador Theatre delivers clear but distant views of the stage. The front rows in this section are better options than those toward the back.

Boxes

Boxes strategically positioned to the left and right of the stage at the Ambassador Theatre allow spectators to watch performances while maintaining privacy. These are among the most expensive seats in the house, but they’re well worth it for those looking for a truly unique experience.

Accessible and ADA-Compliant Seating

Over the years, one of the biggest criticisms of the Ambassador Theatre in NYC has been its lack of accessibility. That changed in 2003 when the U.S. Department of Justice took legal action against the Shubert Organization, prompting it to update more than a dozen theaters to make them more accessible.

Guests are advised to use the side entrance when entering the theater since it has no steps, while the main entrance has two steps leading into the theater. The theater also asks those with mobility issues to consider buying tickets for the wheelchair and mobility-impaired seating in the orchestra section since it’s the only section without steps.

Additionally, the theater has other resources available for those with vision and hearing impairments. These include:

» Handheld audio description devices

» Handheld captioning devices

» Infrared assistive listening devices

Guests are encouraged to stop by the Shubert Audience Services kiosk to pick up these devices and learn how to use them. The Ambassador Theatre provides them free of charge.
